In 2019, the sporting landscape of western Kenya underwent a transformative shift with the inception of the Karamoja Supercup. What began as a passion project swiftly evolved into a sporting spectacle, capturing the hearts of both male and female football enthusiasts. A Fusion of Football, Volleyball, Entertainment and Festivity

As we approach the latest edition of this extravaganza, the anticipation is palpable, promising an even greater fusion of competition, camaraderie, and celebrity allure.

Visiting & Exploring

The tournament takes place in one of Kenya’s most renowned tourist areas with spectacular landscapes and historic places to visit like the Crying Stone, Kakamega Forest and Malava Forest. The scenic landscapes of Malava sub-county provide the picturesque backdrop for this sporting extravaganza. As the tournament unfolds in this western Kenya enclave, it not only showcases the athletic talent on display but also highlights the rich cultural tapestry that defines the region. The amalgamation of sport and local heritage creates an immersive experience for participants and attendees alike

One of the defining features of the Karamoja Supercup is its commitment to fostering gender equality in sports. The tournament proudly hosts both male and female competitions, providing a platform for talented athletes to showcase their prowess. This inclusive approach has not only elevated the tournament’s status but has also become a beacon of inspiration for aspiring footballers, regardless of gender.

The Coveted Prizes

At the heart of this football carnival lies the allure of victory and the promise of substantial rewards. During the first edition, the winners were awarded 50,000/- and this prize has increased with each passing edition with the the grand prize from the last edition standing at a staggering 500,000 Kenyan Shillings. This serves as a testament to the tournament’s dedication to recognizing and rewarding excellence. Beyond the financial gains, these rewards symbolize the acknowledgment of dedication, skill, and teamwork.

A Star-Studded Affair

What sets the Karamoja Supercup apart is its ability to seamlessly blend sports with entertainment. Renowned celebrities from Kenya, including the likes of  Mejja, Khaligraph Jones, Ssaru, Fathermoh, Tipsy Gee, Willy Paul, Nameless, Steve Kay, Opete Wa Musungu, Ayustar, Davy IZ, Kriss Darlin’, DJ Joe Mfalme, Fyah Mummah Jahmby, DJ Juan, Selector Technix, DJ Shinsky(USA), DJ Dantemo, DJ Cobra, MC Zediambo, DJ Ras Kevo, Dem Wa Facebook, Tallia Oyando, Hype Ballo, DJ Aisher (Germany) have all graced the tournament with their presence. Their participation not only adds a touch of glamour to the event but also underscores the cultural significance of sports in the region. The synergy between the football pitch and the DJ booth promises an unforgettable experience for both players and spectators.
